A small selection of sales and seconds for those of you who don’t mind an imperfect piece for a discounted price (fyi these are they types of pieces that fill my crockery drawers lol). I’ve never done seconds online but they’re popular at markets, so I thought why not?
These wares are a great example of the ‘trial and error’ involved in the gorge drippy glazes we all know and love. More often than not a kiln load will have at least one cup whose glazes runs more than it needs to, resulting in ugly bottoms and kiln kisses. These have all been sanded so are safe to handle. Each piece continues to be food safe and water-tight.
Note that the s’mores latte cups in this batch of seconds haven’t ‘run’ like the others but instead were tests for a glaze I didn’t love, and that some pieces have small, superficial hairline cracks underneath which do not affect functionality.
Items are fired to 1260C and are food, oven, and microwave safe. Handwashing is recommended for longevity.
